Spring is finally here!! We continue to get ready for first grade! Look how we've grown in the area of math.
In February and March we have been busy with celebrations! We celebrated the 100th Day of Kindergarten with many wonderful activities and in early March, we celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday.
Mr. Nezowitz joined us again this month to read the Book of the Month, The Boy Who Cried Wolf!
In writing workshop, we wrote lots of books teaching others how to do many different things, like how to make cupcakes and how to ice skate and we just began our All About writing unit. We are very busy students!!

In January, we began our unit on Penguins. We specifically discussed the differences in the Tacky books and the non-fiction books we read and talked about why authors would write each. We then made a character chart of Tacky. He is our new favorite penguin!
In December, we completed our Gingerbread Literature Unit by making these wonderful, tasty "faux" gingerbread houses.
